BAROLO 2011: 17/20
Just mid ruby with a broad, orange-tinged rim.
Balsamic cherry nose that is just a tiny bit jammy.
Supple cherry and marzipan palate followed by vigorous acidity and fine layer of powdery tannins.
Vivid and long with a tiny medicinal note on the finish.
BAROLO 2011 ROCCHE DELL’ANNUNZIATA: 16+/20
Concentrated ruby with narrow orange rim.
Reluctant and subdued on the nose with a medicinal hint and a touch of dried fruit.
Slightly medicinal on the palate at first and with a big charge of tannins, followed by amazing aromatic development and complexity on the finish.
